Putting the HOME back into the Nursing Home
Think family home, not nursing home. In addition to the design of the building, residents will have more choices and be more in charge. For example, instead of residents getting up and eating breakfast according to the staff schedule, residents will get up when they want and have what they want for breakfast. Why should someone have to change their daily routine just because they're living in a nursing home?
We'll be changing how we do things and how we manage things. With a flatter organizational structure and less dependence on "departmental" structures, employees will be empowered to make more decisions and be more self-directed We hope you will stop by for a visit and enjoy a cup of coffee with us in our new home! Auburn Home in Waconia 2007 Caregiver of the Year

She was nominated because of the care and individual attention she gives to each of the residents. If a resident has a food preference you can count on Anna to get them what they want. Her staff thinks she's pretty great too. According to more than one staff member, "She Rocks" as a manager. |
